Digital Airways

Red Bend and Digital Airways have partnered to integrate Red Bend’s Mobile Handset Update solution with Digital Airways’ man-machine interface (MMI) engine for mass-market mobile phones. The integration of these two technologies enables handset manufacturers to create mass-market mobile phones that can be customized easily and securely, both before manufacture and afterwards over the air (OTA).

Red Bend has partnered with Zi Corporation on Red Bend's MAST concept phone. Red Bend's vRapid Mobile is used to enable dual-language messaging to a subscriber's phone using Zi's eZiText® solution for predictive text entry.

Mobile Device Management (MDM) Partners

As key elements of an overall MDM solution, Red Bend offers two specific components:

  • an Update Generator, which generates compact update files suitable for over the air updating
  • an Update Installer and OMA-DM client that reside on the mobile handset and manage the installation of the updated files.
